Participating organizations
University of West Attica
University of West Attica was founded in March 2018. The foundation of the newly established University came from the merging process of the former Technological Educational Institute of Athens and Piraeus University of Applied Sciences. In 2019, the National School of Public Health joined the newly established university. UNIWA operates with high educational and research standards and strives to respond to the ever-increasing demands of modern society for the creation of executives that have attained a solid scientific and technological background. Today, UNIWA includes twenty-seven departments, organized into six Schools, covering a wide range of fields of study. The Schools’ fields of study cover a wide range of modern science, including social, administrative, and economic sciences, engineering sciences, health and welfare sciences, food sciences, and art studies. UNIWA maintains permanent partnerships with other domestic and foreign educational and research institutions, intending to continually improve the level of study. In addition, it is highly involved in various European Union Programs aiming for international collaborations, development of innovation, and dissemination of knowledge.

The “Educational Technology and E-Learning Systems” (EDUTeL) Laboratory of the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering covers a wide range of scientific subjects ranging from education, to optimization and systems control. It participates in many research and development projects in the areas of Systems Simulation and Optimization, Artificial Intelligence, Interactive Learning Environments, Design and Implementation of Educational Software, Internet of Things etc. The research team of the Laboratory consists of faculty members, Ph.D. students, postdoctoral researchers and collaborating researchers whose interests are in full alignment with the its scope and activities.

Democritus University of Thrace
The research group of Power Electronics @ DUTH (PEL@DUTH) was initiated in 2013, with the main objectives of developing the level of education and research in the field of Power Electronics and disseminating their applications in Industry, Transportation, and Green & Sustainable Development. PEL@DUTH currently supports the educational work in Power Electronics, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level, with in depth theoretical analysis and laboratory level training, whereas it constantly aims at the development and modernization of education and research infrastructures. In addition, its research outcomes are published at high-ranked international scientific journals and conferences. The level of PEL@DUTH collaborations both at academic and Industrial level is highly developed, in National and European level, with a significant number of participations in collaborative research programs, postgraduate internship positions, student exchanges and academic visits. PEL@DUTH team is coordinated by Associate Professor Nikolaos Papanikolaou, and it counts more than 20 members (PhD candidates, MSc and postgraduate students, as well as postdoctoral associates).
Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
Since its foundation in 1976, Electronics Lab. of the Physics Dept. of the Aristotle Univ. of Thessaloniki, AUTH-ELAB, has been presenting a very important and multifaceted project in a wide range of research, development, measurement and educational activities in the field of analysis and design of analogue and digital/embedded systems starting from the modeling of the system to the implementation of integrated circuits in state-of-the-art technologies, making it the recognizable institution both in the Greek Scientific and Research Community and in the European industrial area. At present, the Lab consists of 5 faculty members, 2 Special Teaching Fellows, one postdoctoral researcher as well as several postgraduate students and doctoral candidates. During the past years, the members of AUTH-ELAB have participated in many national and European research projects concerning the design of digital and analogue circuits and systems.
